We're delighted to be a member of TIGA, the trade body for the gaming industry. Here's the official press release with all you need to know...

TIGA today announced Neon Play as its latest member. Neon Play is a mobile games development studio based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, UK. The company’s previous iPhone hits include Flick Football, Golf Putt Pro, Hotshot Pool and Talking Baby. Neon Play was set up by ex-creative director Oli Christie in June 2010.
Neon Play recently hit the headlines as the company who developed ‘Paper Glider’, the 10 billionth app to be downloaded from Apple’s App Store. The game was purchased by Gail Davis of Orpington, Kent, UK.
On hearing the news, Oli Christie, CEO at Neon Play stated: “We've been eagerly discussing the 10 billion app countdown in our game studio, so when I got a call from Apple Cupertino saying they had some "good news", I thought they might tell us they were featuring one of our apps on the App Store. So when they said that Neon Play's Paper Glider was the 10 billionth app, I was completely and utterly dumbstruck. It's a great piece of news for the whole Neon Play team. Paper Glider was already the number one app in the UK, so this is a double piece of great news for our studio."
Oli Christie explains the company’s reasons for joining TIGA: “As a new mobile games studio, it made complete and utter sense for Neon Play to join TIGA. We are seeing the huge benefits of joining and have already saved considerable amounts of money as a result. The networking and PR opportunities that TIGA have make them a superlative trade organisation and we’re delighted to be their latest member.”
Dr. Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO welcomed the company to TIGA: “Neon Play is a fantastic example of the new breed of developers that are starting up all over the UK – small, highly creative teams, focused on mobile and digital distribution. We are extremely proud to represent developers like Neon Play and welcome Oli and the team to TIGA.”
