Thriving?
It’s always a great honour to be asked to speak at a conference, and even more so when your company is only six months old.
So it was a mini milestone in the little history of Neon Play when Oli Christie, our MD, was on the panel at a session at the Evolve Conference in London.
Panel beaters
The panel session was called “How to Thrive as a Modern Game Studio” and as well as Oli on the panel, there were other “thrivers” such as Mills from UsTwo, and the chaps behind Pocket God (Wonderland Software) and Rolando (Hand Circus).
Michael French, a renowned journo from Intent Media was the panel chair (even though he was standing up), and we answered a range of questions about mobile games, PR, piracy, how we’ve adapted and is it all it’s cracked up to be. The general answer seemed to be “yes”, but we’re all learning and evolving every single day.

The Evolve Conference was also full of other interesting keynote speeches from the big knobs who’ve made a fortune at Playfish and ng:moco and they certainly got our little brains ticking.
